- Develop a media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online trade media
- Create and maintain a favorable public image for our clients by communicating programs, accomplishments, and/or points of view.
- Field media questions and pitching stories to the media, preparing media kits, and organizing press conferences.
- In addition to writing press releases, writing speeches for leaders, develop advertising and marketing communications material and preparing articles for corporate newsletters.
- Release information to counter negative publicity and handle crisis and emergency communications.
- Coordinating all public relations activities.
- Developing a marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget, and tactics.
Other/Special Requirements:
- Experience in a global technology or IT firm/PR agency is essential.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Must be a confident communicator and presenter.
- Have a full understanding of media needs and media relationships.
- Be proactive, reliable, responsible, and accurate with attention to detail.
- Tactical understanding of all primary social media platforms.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude.
- Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management.
