Manager - Project Finance - Chemical (10-14 yrs)

The Client :

A public limited company, an emerging leader in Chemical Industry, engaged in manufacturing and exporting of Pigment, Pharmaceuticals, Agrochemicals and Rubber chemicals intermediates.

Purpose of the role :

- Understand the volume of the project and risks involved in the project

- Any peculiarities of the project which need consideration

- Financial requirements for the project

- Forecast the expected revenues

- Coordinate with the financial institutions and banks to submit proposals etc and manage queries satisfactorily to ensure funding

- Manage the accounting tasks and MIS pertaining to projects

Key deliverables :

- Use financial analysis and do thorough research on the project. Run several - what-if- or scenario analyses on the project to understand the risks.

- Once a project is deemed viable, the work of getting it funded starts. Proposals are then put together and lenders are approached.

- Managing the project requires daily/weekly reporting, handling compliance and legal issues, accounting, fund management and general project planning on an ongoing basis.

- Prepare financial models, be adept in preparation of spreadsheets, etc.

- Work on due diligence, and compliance as per regulation, documentation, etc.

- Work in close collaboration with project implementation teams for analyzing the fund requirements.

- Coordination with banks and financial institutions to facilitate the smooth procedure of the analytics.

- Ensuring completion of data in a timely manner.

- Preparation of periodic reports as per management's requirements.

Person for the role :

- Qualified Chartered Accountant / MBA in finance from a reputed institute, with at least about 10 years- experience in project financial management with in-depth understanding of the project execution from planning stage to the handover stage.

- Demonstrated experience and competence in budgeting, project accounting and financial reporting procedures for large, complex funded projects. Previous experience working with chemical / pharma industry in the delivery and financial management of large, funded projects will be a plus

- Ability to liaise with banks, financial institutions and agencies and national government agencies

- Sound coordination, administrative, networking, and collaborative skills

- Excellent PC-based computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
