Project Accountant to manage financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for a large-scale industrial project. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with at least 5+ years of experience in project accounting, and compliance within manufacturing or infrastructure sectors. Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO module) is desired, and an ICWA qualification will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Accounting & Financial Management
- Oversee financial activities for the greenfield project, ensuring accurate cost tracking, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Establish and implement project cost controls, expense monitoring, and variance analysis.
- Ensure proper allocation of costs and expenses to respective project phases.
- Monitor capital expenditure (CapEx) and operational expenditure (OpEx) within budget constraints.
- Collaborate with project teams for fund flow management and periodic financial reporting.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present MIS reports, financial statements, and cash flow projections.
- Handle audits related to project accounting, working with internal & external auditors.
- Ensure adherence to GST, TDS, and other tax compliances specific to project finance.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with project managers, procurement, and operations to track project financials.
- Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies for project financing and compliance.
- Support senior management with financial insights and strategic decision-making.
Qualifications Experience:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory
- 5+ years of experience in greenfield accounting / project accounting
- SAP-FI/CO experience Desired
- ICWA / CMA qualification Added advantage
- Experience in manufacturing, infrastructure, or EPC projects preferred
- Strong knowledge of taxation, compliances, and financial controls
