Title: Production Manager
Reports To: Plant Manager
- Minimum of 9- 12 yrs. of increasingly responsible production management experience.
- Experience in handling assembling process industry and ability to visualize and troubleshoot process related problems.
- Experience in multi-product, multi-customer environment is must for this position
Job Summary-
- A position is in Manesar, Hands on Experience in Handling Production, Process Knowledge and Automobile industry experience with MNC culture exposure.
Strategic Context and Challenges-
- Overall responsibility for running the product line with a particular focus on Health & Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Delivery performance targets and ensures that regulations regarding Labor law, quality, and environmental issues are met all times. Communicates performance targets and company's requirements effectively and fully support organization and all related continues improvement activities. Runs department/business in line with company values.
Deliverables-
- Day-to-day Activities:
- Ensure production teams are effectively resourced and are working to the standard processes defined in the APS system.
- Optimize the manufacturing and support processes in the plant and ensure work instruction process adherence.
- Analyze and follow up on the quality reports.
- Prepare plant budget requirements for investment, costs and expenses based.
- Recommend or initiate personnel action such as disciplinary and discharge measures.
- Any other function determined by the company
- Communicate Actively :
- Run the daily production meeting and communicate production status and flag critical issues that need additional support to higher authorities.
- Communicate company's group communications to all plant resources.
- Active communication with the customers to ensure a long-term relationship.
- Performance management of the plant in accordance with health and safety, APS Quality Set targets and priorities to all departments, productivity, cost and delivery performance targets (PDD) and in line with company's business plan/objectives.
- Implementing productivity improvement projects at the site.
- Making annual operating plans & executing as per company targets
- Participate in and lead projects on performance improvement on a plant sub-region level and effectively deploy policy deployment
Core Responsibilities and Activities-
- Implementing JIT & JIDOKA Pillars in production lines, Line Balancing (MOST time calculation) and Visual control Tools (Andon, Production Progress, Kaizen Plan Sheet, Controlled Inventory.
- Calculating MOST Time for new products and assuring productivity improvement through Manpower reduction, Job classification & Line Layout change.
- Making Value stream mapping and developing/maintaining process in accordance with Internal & external quality guidelines.
- Responsible for conducting FMEA & QA networking for new process establishment and coordinating Quality circles activities.
- Continuous improvement
- Responsible for the implementation and development of the APS in the plant
Functional Competencies-
- Strong leadership skills and potential to grow to a bigger position
- Good English is written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills,
- Good understanding and experience in lean production and world-class manufacturing skills Knowledge of Local language (Kannada), Hindi & Tamil is desirable.
- Able to lead the team and achieve the customer target with CFT support.
