Manager - Product Marketing - IT (8-14 yrs)

Our client is a technology company focused on building world-class solutions in the verdant communications and convergence space. Our client began by building telecom VAS infrastructure products, and has provided solutions for mobile service providers across the world, enabling their messaging services, location services, data services and other mobile data applications. Our client has been known since the early days for its innovative products, as well as product quality and customer support.

Our client is venture funded, and competes well with the best known global names in the space. Now the company is looking to expand their business in related and white spaces, while simultaneously retaining pole position and core strengths in communication technologies.

Position : Product Marketing Manager

Roles and Responsibilities :

Product Marketing :

- Identify product / IPs to help accelerate customer engagements as well as generate product based revenue.

- Own complete product from concept, marketing requirements document (MRD), product specifications, competitive analysis, positioning, promotion and pricing.

- Need technical depth to engage with internal and customer engineering team and ability to work and influence cross-functional team.

Practice Marketing :

- Position and promote current product engineering services offering with global customers.

- Depth of engineering requirements within segment, deep familiarity and understanding of Communication/ Collaboration technology and Cloud providers and overall eco-system is essential.

Solutions Marketing :

- Have the depth to understand customer challenges, and articulate complete engineering solutions to global customers

Strategic Partnerships :

- Identify, develop and drive partnerships with measurable results that complement our business.

- Understanding of Communication and Cloud technologies / companies like Salesforce, ZOHO, MongoDB, Casandra, Amazon Web Services, RackSpace, OpenStack is essential.

Product P&L :

- Owns and accountable for Product P&L. Is able to provide product forecast and implement new strategies

Market Research :

- Identify market trends, challenges and top prospects for new and existing service offerings in various industry segments

- Events and Trade Shows - Participate at relevant trade-shows to generate business leads

- Analyst reports - Participate in analyst conferences, speak at events and conferences to drive recognition

Desired Candidate Profile :

- 8 - 10 years of experience in product management / product marketing roles for a technology company, preferably within the communication/collaboration domain.

- BE in the technology domain and MBA from a premier B-School

- Acumen to understand various business situations, and respond to changing market conditions

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, client-facing experience.

- Candidate with Sales Exposure is preferred.

- Experience in building critical and/or complex products is preferable

- Technical experience in software product companies or Product engineering Services (PES) with specific focus on Cloud and ISV is preferable

- Should be from a product company.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate thoughts and offerings in written, verbal or visual manner, and advanced proficiency with making Power Point Presentations.

- Experience with companies like Amazon, salesforce.com, Google, Flipkart, (Airtel Enterprise Division) would be beneficial

Preferred Industry : From a Software Product Company

Experience : 8 - 10 Yrs

Location : Bangalore

Mandatory Skills :

- Candidate should be from a Software Product Company (Start-up or well known company)

- Candidate should have implemented a new feature/functionality from scratch

- B E/B Tech/Science Degree and MBA preferably from a premier institute.

- Candidate should have owned Product from Inception to launch phase.

- Candidate should have handled integrations partners (like CRMs, ERPs, HRMS etc)

- Candidate should have held and organized road shows, events etc

- Candidate should have devised a marketing campaign for product positioning

- Candidate should have authored product notes
