The offshore delivery centre of the company is in Delhi-NCR (India), hosting close to 700 staff of the 1500-strong organization. The other near-shore/sales & account offices are in North & Latin America, Europe and ANZ.
About the job:
The platforms & products business at the company focuses on developing solutions that enterprises & their end users could use to make business easy. A rather young business at the company, this unit has gained very impressive traction in the last 2 - 3 years, with many thousands of end-users using the company's platforms/products for their day-to-day business needs.
These products are built on MS Technologies, hence the need of hiring a seasoned engineering manager (or senior manager) who could take charge of the current team of developers and propel the engineering & development of the existing as well new products that are the company's focus.
This opportunity is quite like that at a start-up, but within a large company.
The incoming candidate on the job will be expected to:
- Contribute to laying a roadmap for the product, specially on the vision and user alignment side
- Architect the high level as well as low level aspects of the products, taking care of important aspects like security, scalability and reliability
- Lead the team of developers to execute flawlessly and correctly
- Act as a great team leader, ensuring that the team is well motivated, groomed and aligned to the company's larger vision. Training & Development of the team would be key to that
- Work closely with the customer ecosystem at the company, ensuring close alignment to what the customer actually needs
- Collaborate with the senior management/BU leadership on priorities and help them take the right decisions at the right time
