Manager - Product Development & Innovation(PDI)

- Develop product line with differentiation on product with higher ASP, Margin and Premiumization.

- Develops the strategy, directs the development and implementation of company's product portfolio.

- Works closely with Procurement to identify new product concepts and bring to market quickly.

- Deliver the new product revenue goals set by the organization

- Strong leader with excellent management skills who is able to motivate and innovate on a daily basis.

- Understands market trends and innovate the category portfolio according to consumer needs.

- Ensure that the range changes include new product launches, clearance activity, overstocks and implementation of new range stock are executed with careful planning and liasison with stores, marketing, PR, suppliers and distribution ensuring that any information is distributed in a timely manner.

- Develop effective communication mechanisms to ensure that new product development launches on time as planned and to agreed specifications

- Responsible for design, development and execution of new products in assigned categories for core and private label

Skills and Competencies:

- Ability to build relationships across the business with other functions to encourage constructive feedback and communication between departments.

- Vendor Management skill.

- Must have handled a team in a leadership role.

- Strong background with merchandising and vendor relationships will be viewed favorably. However, an MBA degree or post-graduation will be an added advantage.

- Must have developed own/ premium label brands.

- Candidate must be only from FMCG - Retail Industry.

Education: MBA from a reputed institute. 3 to 8 years of proven experience in product development and consumer insights.
