We are currently looking to close a Manager Procurement position with one of the topmost FMCG conglomerates in India. The position is based in Kolkata.

Job Title: Manager Procurement

JOB PURPOSE:

To ensure uninterrupted supplies of wrapping materials, and other raw material, to assist in implementing product development and brand plans, machine trials, management of warehousing contracts for RM, and continuous improvement of vendors, materials and purchasing processes while simultaneously focusing on cost, quality, service delivery and innovation.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To manage material inventories in line with inventory policy

- To Implement product development plans and effect on-going reduction in lead-time

- To bring about continuous improvements in quality, cost savings, product enhancement, lead-time reduction and other competitive advantages to the business

- To coordinate procurement activities with production plans, particularly for source changes, introduction of new brands, discontinuation of existing brands & induction of new machinery

- To develop systems to ensure product integrity

- To ensure vendor conformance to EHS policy and ISO and other required certifications

- To maintain records of standard specifications, standard folders for design and shades of printed materials

- To track new and emerging technologies / products in printing and packaging industry

- To manage warehouse contracts for raw materials

- To guide the design and implementation of new IT processes to ensure that they are compatible with our operating practices

- To ensure minimum obsolescence of materials

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENT:

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: Graduate, preferably with Diploma/PG Diploma in Materials Management / Operations / Business Management

WORK EXPERIENCE AND RELEVANT INDUSTRY: 5 to 10 years' experience of handling procurement/supply chain operations in Manufacturing/Operations (preferably Packaging or FMCG industry)

Salary : Rs.38.0 to 50.0 Lpa
