Manager - Policy & Research - Government Partnerships & Policy Impact - NGO (3-7 yrs)
Policy and Research Strategy (40% of time):
- Work on evidence based policy reform
- Research, analyse and map the landscape for air pollution crisis (current context, challenges, stakeholders, new reforms etc), and develop position papers and advocacy documents, policy briefs, concepts notes and other working documents etc.
Help Create a Network of Influencers (30% of time):
- Identity and build relationships with government officials, climate or environment policy experts, researchers, media channels, citizen groups, think tanks and other relevant organizations/bodies who have a definitive role to play in shaping strategic policy mandates in the air pollution landscape and subsequently implement an engagement strategy with each of them
Support Strategic Projects (20% of time):
- As the Program Manager leading the Policy and Research work stream, you will be requried to support the organization on key strategic and high-impact projects that are designed to increase salience on air pollution in the ecosystem as well as improve the air quality in the India
- You will lead and manage the relevant project teams and support members of the senior leadership come up with a strategy of effective advocacy, citizen engagement and roadmap for implementation of the identified reforms
Organization Development (10% of time):
- Support the overall development of the organization, supporting the CEO and senior leadership team on overall strategy (hiring, communication, organization, projects, operations)
Candidate requirements -
- Have displayed instances of quick thinking and entrepreneurial nature in previous projects/ work assignments
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to conceptualize and draft a proposal
- Great interpersonal skills
- Strong planning, project management and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments
