Plant EHS/Safety Manager - Pune - FMCG

This is a key role in the plant and you will responsible to steer and support the drive of safety initiatives in the plant. A firm presence on the shop floor in terms of safety is expected. The most important aspect is to be ethical and transparent in managing safety.

Job Responsibilities:

- Safety Audits and Inspections.

- Ensure statutory inspection for all lifting tools & tackles and pressure vessels through third party.

- Conduct non-statutory inspections for the plant.

- Comply ESS and GRC portal.

- Participation in safety audits and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

- Involvement in the process of hazard identification and risk assessment.

- Conduct Job safety analysis for construction activities.

- Controlling contractors through regular monitoring, reward & penalty system and performance review of Contractor.

- Ensure good health of safety guards, safety interlocks, hand tools and power tools in the plant.

- Ensure 100% compliance with work permit system and safe isolation procedure.

- Study and control hazardous substances in the plant.

- Procurement and maintain personal protective equipment in the plant.

- Ensure healthiness of fire alarm system.

- Train employees on emergency planning & Drive safety culture of workplace.

Key Competencies:

- Technical expertise on Industrial safety, Risk Assessments, Safety Validation of Equipment and Safety Audits.

- High result orientation - getting things done on time and as per agreed upon norms.

- Collaborator with good Inter departmental skills.

- Maintain the required standards of professionalism in the face of multiple demands and potential conflict situations.
