Responsible for the packaging development for the AMEA (Asia, Middle East Africa) business. Identifying and implementing innovative packaging solutions designed to increase sales, enhance brand perception, delight the customer and consumer and deliver environmentally sustainable packaging solutions whilst also meeting required annual cost savings. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As Manager-Packaging Development, you will be part of our success by: - Partnering with cross-functional teams including external partners to develop &amp; implement packaging projects based on business goals, consumer need, competitive set, supply chain requirements and deliver subsequent multiple packaging projects/programs. Lead packaging projects from idea to implementation which include conceptualization, prototyping, feasibility, capability &amp; deployment at main plant. - Drive business results through innovative and traditional packaging solutions (measured by top line growth, quality and profitability) that deliver enhanced brand value and increased consumer interaction - Provides technical direction within the department and the region as a packaging expert. Has knowledge of latest packaging developments &amp; technology through investigation, training and external liaison - Identifies and implements packaging cost savings and ideas that are in line with annual target expectations, as well as the pipeline development for the subsequent years. - Trouble Shooting, deal with the technical/operational issues as needed, related to packaging. To support our mission, the candidate must also be able to demonstrate the following requirements: - Previous successful experience of developing, leading and delivering a department's strategic goals combined with excellent communication, influencing and project management skills - High level of understanding of packaging/equipment interface and development tools with appropriate material, design, consumer research, analytical and supply chain insight - Knowledge and experience in packaging materials, packaging design, packaging equipment, raw materials, quality control, production management, COGS calculations, artwork - Knowledge of food-packaging interactions, sensory evaluation and consumer tests, packaging regulations, understanding of experimental design methodologies - Consumer Research PREFERENCE : - Graduation / Post Graduation Degree (or equivalent) in Packaging, Engineering or Science with 6-8 years of experience in a food / FMCG industry a proven history of developing and implementing innovative packaging/ expert in multiple packaging technologies, willing to relocate / mobile across the region.
