Job Title DGM-Operation

2. RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage and Lead the operations of manufacturing unit includes Pre-production, Production, Sourcing, Quality Control, Costing, Administration, Procurement, Utilities, Store, Finance, Compliance & Other Liaison

- Oversee the organizational business growth and development in terms of performance in production, quality, profitability and turnovers.

- Setting up business targets for each division and close monitoring and guidance in achieving the same.

- Responsible for setting up robust processes, metrics and reports across all teams under your purview and ensuring adherence to the same.

- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability.

- Ensure compliance with all statutory and legal regulations & industry and company standards for safety, labor, quality and environmental protection.

- Ensure resource optimization in terms of budget, manpower, infrastructure, raw material procurement and facilities to support production to ensure maximum productivity and profitability

- Responsible for formulating SOPs & Policies, managing daily operational activities, departmental goals and planning use of materials and human resources toward maximum productivity.

- Prepare weekly reports on progress and make necessary recommendations to the management on data-backed results.

- Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production & operational issues.

- Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and regulatory authorities.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.

- Ensuring that both the raw material and finished goods meet the quality benchmarks of the company.

- Bringing in more robust quality measures to the entire production process - from procurement to finishing

- Motivating and upskilling the teams and ensuring smooth communication and collaboration at all times

- Ensuring that the suppliers are able to fulfill the fabric and raw material requirements on time and that there are no delays on their front because of capacity issues

- Ensuring that the internal infrastructure/ production capacities and capabilities and external capacities (supplier networks and their infrastructure) are ready to handle the forecasted production requirements

- Driving a strong execution culture within the team so as to ensure that delivery is as per the production planned

- Reducing the wastages and rejections and increasing the efficiency of man power and working deliverables.

- Responsible to manage operational expenses, budgets and cost control.

- Resolve all issues pertaining to logistics, maintenance, worker, and government bodies

- Regular training and development of workers and implanting best industry practices

- Responsible for establishing and implementing departmental goals & policies

- Play a significant role in short, medium & long term strategic planning

- Partner with director, sales head and production head and support the development of the production plan, based on the sales pipeline and procurement schedule, periodically review and monitor actual production schedule to ensure adherence to production mandates and deliver on sales head's commitments

- Communicating with workers to ensure that they understand their tasks, are comfortable with their working conditions, and are treated fairly by management

- Develop and implement sales strategies to expand market share and increase revenue.

- Oversee the sales team's performance, set targets, and provide guidance to achieve sales goals.

3. KRA& KPI:

- Production Planning and Scheduling: To ensure all the specifications and requirements to be covered on account of quality & productivity at Sampling Stage and to ensure timely delivery of products and execute production plans collaboratively with other departments.

- Production Efficiency and Output: Ensure that the factory meets production targets, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

- Quality Management: Develop quality standards for the factory and oversee the implementation of quality control processes.

- Resource Management: Optimize the use of resources, including raw materials, machinery, and labor, to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.

- Cost Optimization and Productivity: Implement strategies to optimize costs and improve productivity, while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

- People Management and Development: Mentor and coach the team to enhance their skills, knowledge, and capabilities, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

- Health and Safety: Ensure that all safety standards and protocols are adhered to, and promote a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

- Achieve annual sales targets and increase market share by Strengthen internal teamwork and operational collaboration of Sales & Production department.

- Reporting: Responsible to provide timely & accurate reports on plant & sales performance

5. KSA( Key Skills Abilities):

- Education: Bachelors/Master's Degree or its equivalent. NIFT graduates will be preferred.

- Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in garment manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of garment production processes, quality control procedures, and industry best practices.

- Technical Skills: Proficient in using production planning and control software, MS Office applications, and other relevant software.

- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.

- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure quality control and adherence to production standards.

- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and data interpretation skills to identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
