Manager - Operation & Inventory Planning - FMCG - IIT/NIT/ISB/MDI/FMS (4-10 yrs)

About the Role

As Manager - Operations & Inventory Planning, you will be responsible for building a high performing function in supply chain (forecasting, replenishment, inventory management, customer availability) facilitating strong partnerships internally with different business lines across brands.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage inventory availability and inventory health across different sales channels including: improved in-stock rates, inventory planning and systematic forecasting

- Drive process improvement and operational excellence within business lines by reducing costs, defects, and lead times, while increasing innovation, automation, and economies of scale

- Own the Order Management System - build on existing functionalities (as the organizations needs evolve) in coordination with multiple teams (procurement, operations, logistics, warehousing, business teams)

- Drive complex business analysis that identifies opportunities to improve cost structure and profitability

- Partner with internal teams to help create and drive tools and process improvements that affect purchasing and business management workflow

- Assess opportunities for long & short-term based on the brand's requirements on operational fronts

Qualification & Skills:

- MBA from Top Tier college or Engineering from IITs/ NIT with 4+ years of relevant experience in Planning, forecasting or Inventory Management or equivalent experience such as Consulting or Operations

- Superior analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to dive in and quickly understand root cause and identify scalable solutions

- Ability to manage and execute large projects from start to finish, including project management, data gathering and modelling, problem solving, and communicating recommendations

- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

- Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

- Advanced Excel skills, knowledge of SQL and statistical software (preferred)

- Strong communication and negotiation skills with a high degree of ownership and consumer obsession
