Manager - Monitoring & Evaluation - Training Coaching & Support - NGO (3-10 yrs)

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Training Manager will perform various activities. Training managers develop and deliver effective content that helps partners better understand monitoring and evaluation (M&E), specifically in the area of impact evaluation.

The Training Manager will perform a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

Execution:

- Coordinating and executing high-quality capacity building services, including training workshops and courses, technical advisory services, knowledge products, and outreach events

- Contributing to capacity building engagements and activities as a trainer and/or a facilitator

- Building and strengthening relationships with strategic partners, clients, and stakeholders and expanding outreach for capacity building activities.

Others:

People Management: Manage and mentor Training Associates and/ or Sr. Training Associates, giving them support to perform better and prioritizing their learning and skill development.

 Cross-vertical collaboration : Participate in cross-vertical collaboration opportunities such as providing systematic support to an ongoing research project, capacity building of internal staff, etc.

Qualifications:

Education:

- Advanced degree (Masters or higher) in a related field (economics, public policy or international development), from a leading university. This should include coursework in advanced statistics and/or econometrics.

Experience:

- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in managerial, technical, or teaching positions, with the focus in evaluation and monitoring. Preference will be given to candidates with work experience in India or other South Asian countries.

Monitoring and evaluation technical skills:

- Strong M&E skills as demonstrated by professional and academic experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in impact evaluations including randomized control trials and evaluation capacity building.

Understanding of the use of evidence in decision making: Keen understanding of the value of evidence for policy decisions demonstrated by professional or academic experience.

 Communication: Attention to detail and advanced writing and presentation skills for communicating policy lessons from academic papers and evaluations, as well as M&E fundamentals and randomized evaluation methodology, in ways that policymakers understand. This requires clear, precise, non-technical writing, and creativity in presentation.

 Time Management: Proven ability to handle several different projects/tasks at one time, successfully complete tasks assigned, and meet deadlines. A willingness to work hard, be self-motivated and learn will be essential for doing well in this position.

Travel: Position requires travel throughout India to build and promote new partnerships and initiatives. International travel for events with other regional centers and the Global Hub is also required annually.
