1. POSITION(S) VACANT: Manager- Membership, Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy, New Delhi.

2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:

Incorporated in 2008, the Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE) is an industry led, membership based Indian non-profit organization, that drives energy efficiency markets and policies in India.

AEEE is the only organisation in India which works on creating awareness about energy efficiency as a resource. The organization aims to transform India into a global leader in the field of energy efficiency, by reducing the country's energy intensity. AEEE is working towards making India a globally competitive and environmentally sustainable economy and one of the most attractive markets for companies, with the best available energy efficient technologies. The organization also provides a convening platform for Government and Industry to engage in a constructive dialogue, for the design and implementation of more effective and impactful policies.

Over the years, major foundations, as well as bilateral and multilateral agencies, have helped AEEE grow, as well as undertake projects in the area of energy efficiency policy advocacy and business enablement, with emphasis on knowledge products and the creation of more effective and credible platforms.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Director, Marketing Alliances & Partnership, AEEE, the Manager- Membership (MM), shall be responsible for acquisition of new Members for AEEE and driving member engagement through AEEE's Industry Working Groups, events, sponsorship, co-curating syndicated research, etc. AEEE also undertakes training activities with 3rd party organizations like EVO, AEE and plans are underway to expand the same.

S/he will also be responsible for exploring capacity building programmes with organizations in India, plan and execute sub-national capacity building exercise with AEEE team, members and partner organizations.

Key Deliverables:

(1) Acquisition of new members; Reach out to potential members and maintain a healthy pipeline;

(2) Retention of existing members;

(3) Design and execute Membership Value Proposition (MVP) including managing the Industry Working Groups, exploring Syndicated Research opportunities, Sponsorship of events and other events;

(4) Plan and execute Regional Members meets and other outreach events, closed group round tables, FEED Conference, etc.;

(5) Ensure healthy NPS and high satisfaction score from existing members;

(6) Manage existing training programmes (physical & virtual);

(7) Explore new training partners and programmes;

(8) Work on designing and executing AEEE's capacity building programme at state level, along with research verticals, members and partners;

(9) Explore funding for capacity building programmes with Development Manager and Verticals;

(10) Work with member organizations for curated training programmes for them and possible collaboration for co-creating new programmes (under CSR).

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualification:

(1) MBA/ BE/ Post Graduate with relevant social sector or industry association experience.

Experience:

(1) Minimum 8-10 years' experience in driving membership programmes involving corporates;

(2) Experience in designing and executing capacity building programmes in social sector, state government agencies and departments, industry associations etc;

(3) Understanding of ESCOs/ Cooling/ Energy sector will be a plus.

Skills and Competencies:

(1) Good network with Indian philanthropies and corporates; Understanding of the CSR space will be an advantage;

(2) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to make short presentations or pitches;

(3) Experience with working in large project teams.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

Gross compensation is attractive. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
