CTC : 20 lacs,

Job Description :

Main Challenges in this Position (or Company/Division/BU) :

1. Understand the new category from category/competition/consumer/retailer lens and develop deep understanding of all nuances of product and its consumption

2. Own the category P&L - to drive profitable growth

3. Work along with a cross functional team to deliver on innovations within the category

4. Create a differentiated digital presence for the new category with year round presence built around a distinct proposition

Responsibility and Mandate :

1. Ensure assigned category delivers objectives in respect of volumes, market share and margins.

2. Develop the category strategy through strong consumer insights that delivers consumer loyalty and generates demand

3. Drive innovation process for the assigned categories, rooted in consumer insights.

4. Develop and execute category advertising and promotion campaigns with cost effective media mix to support brand objectives, with special focus on Digital Media.

5. Determine marketing consumer research objectives, initiate research and integrate findings to all plans - Innovation, communication etc

6. Coordinate all category product initiatives through the entire value chain to ensure profitable growth.

7. Independently manage marketing operations for the assigned category.

8. Work with external agencies to execute the category strategy

9. Work closely with Sales Team to drive strong interventions at retail points to drive off-takes from retail points

10. Spend substantial time in market to understand retailer behavior and devise innovative retailer engagement plans to help sales teams drive sales better

Main Tasks and/or Projects :

1. Build and execute category plans, esp communications using Digital medium

2 . Own the P&L for the category

3. Drive Innovation Projects

4. Support Trade Marketing with BTL

5. Create innovative retailer engagement plans

6. Adherance to timelines in Full execution of all plans

Experience :

- (Functional area, type of position/work, products, markets, international etc.)

- 4 - 6 years of experience with at least 1 year of brand experience

- Minimum 1 year experience in Sales, and 1 year of experience in Trade Marketing

- Sound understanding and experience in Digital marketing

- Good understanding of business dynamics in India

- Experience in packaged foods industry

- Past experience working in a start up ecosystem, built around Digital communication

Competence/Skills :

1. Good Domain Knowledge of Marketing with exposure to advertising development, media planning and consumer research

2. Understanding of FMCG sales system in India

3. Digital Media Knowhow

4. Analytical Skills

5. Prior project management experience
