Manager - Marketing - FMCG (2-4 yrs)

The company is a public listed company of a big conglomerate and is amongst India's pioneers and leading Agri solutions provider, offering diverse products and services across the farming value chain. It operates in two major segments: Nutrient and other allied businesses and Crop Protection. These include Fertiliser, Crop Protection, Specialty Nutrients and Organic fertiliser businesses.

The company has sixteen manufacturing units located in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategy :

- Conduct market research to identify farmer pain points and prepare a compendium of bio-product requirements; closely coordinate with PD and RnD to translate the needs into technical/ formulation concepts.

- Partner with research agencies to understand evolving technology trends in organic cultivation, bio pesticides, microbials, share updates with the Corporate leadership team and translate them into critical partnership choices

- Design and implement Partnership roadmap in collaboration with the Product development and RnD team

- Participate in new product development process and ensure critical market requirements are built into the development

- Develop an Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) Strategy - design and roll-out specific set of promotional activities/ awareness campaigns in collaboration with the engagement Partner (Agri Institute / FPO); gather farmer feedback on the activities/events organized in the past

- Share best practices and the latest trends in brand marketing to provide growth opportunity for the brand by capitalizing on the potential that alternative branding strategies/approaches may hold

Operational :

- Explore, evaluate and engage in relevant external collaborations (Agri-Institutes, FPOs etc.); attend meetings with existing and potential large corporate/institutional partners on a regular basis to educate end consumers/ influencers on the functional and technical value proposition of Bio products

- Develop negotiation pitches by carefully evaluating the partner's bargaining power; design and draft partnership proposals that align with the overall strategy and layout mutual benefits; define standard operating procedures partner -on boarding; metrics for partnership evaluation; performance monitoring

- Conceptualize and organize product promotion events to encourage trial of company's products such as paid up trails at soil testing camps/ producer's market; by collaborating with various Farmer Organizations / Corporates

- Organize joint training programmes with institutes to educate farmers on best practices of farming/ Crop Protection usage recommendations

- Coordinate with product development team on innovative ways of product demonstration trials, grower field demos

- Identify alternate sales channels (e.g. large contract farming corporates), closely co-ordinate with regional sales team to promote and sell portfolio of products and services to achieve the assigned sales objectives

- Prepare a comprehensive set of operational reports on promotional activities; institutional engagement success etc.

- Communicate clearly and effectively to business partners and senior leaders - Build business cases, pitches, brand books and proposals to drive decisions with Corporate leadership and external partners

- Participate in conferences, trade shows to market company CPC Bio and understand the industry trends

Governance and Admin Support :

- Track budget, measure and report performance of all promotional activities and awareness campaigns, and assess ROIs

- Conduct research and analyses, translate campaign performance into communication presentations and reports for senior management and key stakeholders

- Partner with relevant agencies for branding related training sessions; demo trial trainings etc.
