We have been retained by our client, a well established, professionally managed foreign bank to identify a Manager - Market Risk. The position will be based at Mumbai. Job Purpose: - To monitor and analyze all market, liquidity and counterpart risks on the trading book and to provide full transparency and dynamic analysis of the risks. Key Responsibilities: - To monitor and control market risk exposure and compliance of Market Risk policies. - To provide treasury staff and management with timely and relevant information on all market risk elements in the bank's treasury positions. - Policy and process preparation/ implementation. - Support to Balance Sheet Management Group for tracking funding and interest rate mismatches. - Make proposals for additional limit structures in order to keep the limit structure in line with the treasury activities. - Conduct stress tests, back tests and scenario tests and report to Management. - Report daily to management on limit violations, results and positions. - Regulatory and Risk based supervision reporting. - Monitor the trading activities in the Treasury. - Internal reporting and analysis of market risk in both treasury and banking books. Desired skills/Competencies: - In depth knowledge and experience in the use of various treasury and banking products. - Understanding balanced approach to financial management. - Interpersonal skills. Should be able to maintain independence of views while maintaining relationships with banking managers. - Managing and developing people, team player. - Drive and enthusiasm. - A positive, - can do- attitude. Candidate Profile: - Candidates should MBA/CA having 3 to 5 years relevant experience in Banking industry.
