Job Title Manager - Market Research & Analysis

Function Marketing

Reporting to Head Business Development & CMO

1. Purpose

Responsible for acquiring and analyzing internal and external market information to provide inputs to the senior management in planning, product development and facilitate effective decision making

2. Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Operational

- Ensure the timely conduct of various market research and market intelligence studies for effective decision making including reports on the following:

A. Macroeconomic indicators and external business environment

B. Global and Indian Express industry

C. Competitor-wise reports

D. Regulatory trends etc.

- Scan environment for business opportunities through external and internal research, competitor intelligence etc. and present findings to the senior management

- Work closely with the Managing Director & Head - Business Development & CMO in developing the marketing, sales and product strategy for organization by providing critical inputs (based on extensive market research)

- Ensure the conduct of product specific research in terms of market potential, competitor activities, competitor pricing, competitor services etc and forward the same to the respective product head

- Study express products globally in terms of key features, pricing, USP etc and provide this information to the Product teams

- Provide support to various teams in preparation of various packs (Grow India, SME, small town etc) for senior management review meetings

- Lead the conduct of various customer satisfaction studies in Organization through appropriate coordination with the external market research agency

- Support in the conduct of Annual Brand Equity study

- Attend relevant industry seminars / lectures to provide inputs to the senior management on market information, trends and new business opportunities

People

- Provide support to team members through effective monitoring, review of performance parameters and provision of periodic feedback

- Ensure high level of employee engagement and retention of team members

- Coach subordinates to develop their capabilities and build a strong succession pipeline for the role

2. Customer satisfaction survey - Timely administration of customer satisfaction survey and analysis of responses

3. Ensure performance driven culture - Adherence to performance management system timelines and guidelines
