Role :
Functional Responsibility / Domain Related :
- Lead for a team of 9-10 analysts engaged in global economics and fixed income research with S&P analysts. The team works with S&P's economists and analysts worldwide (Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa) and is responsible for database management and publication support activities including preparing graphs and tables, trend analysis, analyzing economic variables, updating draft reports etc.
- Develop expertise in S&P's fixed income publications for the Corporate, Financial Institutions, Structured Finance and Public Finance domains and guide the team through training and quality reviews.
- Develop expertise in the domain of Macro Economics. Solicit and undertake new research activities and equip the team accordingly through training programs.
- Provide thought leadership by publishing relevant articles / presentations in various external forums for franchise building.
- In case of complex requirements, also independently execute analytical assignments.
- Contribute to GAC wide strategic and tactical initiatives
Client Management / Stakeholder Management :
- Ownership of all deliverables to S&P and be responsible for timeliness and quality of all tasks and activities delivered by the team. Provide necessary domain overlay and support to ensure top quality user/service experience.
- Maintain and develop relationships with S&P economists and analysts, business development and molding the relationship between the local team and S&P analyst.
- Participate and enable teams to participate in S&P's internal discussion forums
People Development :
- Carry out team management responsibilities including retaining and nurturing talent and developing domain capabilities of the team

- Team leading & Mentoring skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills primarily focused on managing client expectations.
- Excellent working skills on Excel
- Knowledge of Econometric modelling (E-views, Stata etc.) and SQL will be an advantage
- Knowledge on third party databases such as CEIC, Bloomberg, Haver, Oxford, Thomson Data stream, S&P Cap IQ
- Ability to manage performance under stringent timelines
Essential Qualification :
- Preferably a Masters in Economics or MBA Finance with at least 7 years experience in macroeconomic research or credit/bond market research with an economic research / financial institution
