Manager - Macro Structuring - FX

Overall purpose of role

The candidate will be working with EMEA FX Structuring desk and will be involved in FX products pricing, quant development, idea generation, trade backtesting and analysis.

The candidate will also be required to focus on scanning the market for FX relative value / carry opportunities and develop tools to optimize the processes. He/she needs to work very closely with the Trading and the Sales team besides other teams involved in trade execution process.

The candidate may be required to build trade analyzers & return optimizer tools besides identification of market dislocations in parameters like carry, vol, flies, correlation etc.

Key Accountabilities - 

- Work closely with the Structuring desk (EMEA) to develop tools to identify market opportunities, price FX products, build trade analyzers and generate trade ideas

- Liaise with trading and Sales team to develop customised products as per client's requirements

- Build trade optimizers like carry trade optimizers, identify relative value opportunities in the FX market, identify dislocations in different market parameters like carry, vol, skew, flies, correlations etc.

- Perform portfolio MTM/Greeks analysis using Barclays historical marks and pricing models.

- Enhance the in-house pricing tool to properly price complex structured FX products.

- Developing on-desk spreadsheets and pricing tools to improve product innovation of the team

- Prepare marketing pitchbook and termsheets as required

- Involvement in trade analysis - historical backtesting, scenario analysis, MTM sensitivity etc.

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

The candidate will need to interact directly and frequently with EMEA region's FX Structuring desk

Person Specification

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications - 

- Demonstrated ability in developing financial tools, ideally with VBA & Python programming knowledge

- Exposure to derivative products preferably FX and its pricing

- Must have suitable experience with demonstrable technical skills and knowledge of derivatives and options theory as well as capital pricing/implications.

- High competency with MS Excel including VBA macros

- Good coding skills with understanding of databases

- Proficiency in presentation skill

- Excellent communication skills (oral/written) as the candidate will need to work directly and frequently with senior traders

- Flexible to work long hours, meet deadlines and be proactive

- Ability to prioritize and manage large projects and take full ownership of assigned tasks

- Aptitude for self-learning

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications - 

- Knowledge of Python/R (Must)

- Structuring experience

- Mathematics or engineering-based degree
