Manager - Legal - Renewable Energy (7-10 yrs)

1. Regulatory and Legal Framework : Keep updated and regularly brief the company leadership on legal and statutory landscape w.r.t. Renewable energy & Power generation with specific focus on IPP, Group Captive, Rooftop, Joint Bidding Agreements (JBAs) etc.

2. Commercial Contracts :

a. Be up-to-date with finer nuances of commercial and legal contracts being negotiated in renewable energy industry: with Vendors, Power Purchasers, Partners and other stakeholders.

b. Apply above knowledge, defining company's customized approach to commercial contracts.

c. Participate in Contract negotiations individually and jointly based on our approach above with an objective of achieving favorable outcomes for the company.

d. Be responsible for drafting, negotiating and managing all contracts.

e. Develop proficiency in the domain of international contracts.

f. Formally monitor contract performance, manage exceptions (extension, termination, claims etc.) and report regularly to the management and the Board of Directors.

3. Additionally, work with internal and external stakeholders on agreements, undertakings, deeds, notices etc.

4. Advise management on legal issues involved in transactions and impact of changes in law on business.

5. Provide legal & compliance support in strategic transactions including acquisitions, divestment, private equity participation by Strategic Investors etc.

6. Provide support on litigation as and when required.

7. Develop & improvise legal systems & processes. Update management on all legal issues.

8. Create awareness of compliance with relevant laws and regulations and ensure adherence.
