Manager - Legal - Real Estate/Infrastructure - LLB (5-15 yrs)

Looking for Manager Legal) to be part of an Indian multinational diversified conglomerate that has global operations across a wide range of industries, and is valued at over $6 Billion.

Position: Manager - Legal

Location: Mumbai

Responsibilities

Legal Affairs

- Agreement Drafting and Vetting including Shareholder Agreement, Share Purchase Agreement, Share Subscription Agreement, International Trade Agreements etc.

- Drafting, & vetting of commercial contracts/Agreements, such as Supply, Lease/Rent, MOUs, Sale/Purchase, Marketing & Advertisement, Mortgage, Services, etc.

- Handling of Legal Cases related to trademark, copyright, recovery, Labour disputes, arbitration, etc

- Drafting and vetting of legal documents, such as, notices, replies to legal notices and govt. correspondences, complaints, motions, Written Statements, Suits, rejoinder, counter affidavits, Power of Attorney, Affidavits, undertaking, certificates and other court documents

Compliance Governance and Risk Management

- Set up and implement a compliance framework

- Monitoring of all applicable statutory Compliances relating to Labour Laws, Company Law, Income Tax, GST, etc

- Compliance Audit and Periodical submission of Compliance Gap Reports including non-compliance cost and risk to the management

- Ensuring POSH Compliances forming POSH Committee, sensitizing employees, holding meetings, preparation of minutes, filing annual reports, etc

Litigation (Execution and Monitoring)

- Follow up on legal cases,; drafting of legal documents including Drafting petitions, Plaints, WS, and notices, POA, Affidavits, petitions, etc., and liaising with Legal Advisors / Advocates on Legal issues and also with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate course of action have been taken

- Provide and interpret legal information, conduct meetings and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to staff and review & advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.

Qualifications And Experience

- A minimum of 5 + years of relevant legal experience.

- LLB, or equivalent qualification and strong academic credentials from a top law school

- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.

- Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal and management skills, with proven ability to manage several simultaneous projects within required deadlines.

- Ability to work well independently as well as in a cross-functional team and build rapport and trust with internal clients and external suppliers and customers.
