A leading FMCG Company is looking out for Legal Manager - FMCG PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Handle the broad spectrum of day-to-day legal affairs of the business. 2. Partnering supply chain &amp; marketing team on various subjects like labeling, claims, promotions, imports and exports, procurement, transportation etc. 3. Provide legal services related to factory legal issues and workplace legislation. 4. Draft and negotiate agreements. 5. Coordinate regulatory compliance, including monitoring legislation and implications on new business initiatives for India and SEA business. 6. Train business team on compliance initiatives and legal developments. 7. Developing and coordinating litigation strategies and coordinating centrally all litigation across the country, including engaging and supervising local counsel, and tracking developments and outcomes to minimize exposure. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: 1. Reports to Head Legal - Personal Care and Compliance 2. Oversee work of external counsels. 3. Peer relationships with members of the Factories, Supply Chain, Marketing, HR, Regulatory etc. 4. Based in Mumbai - Corporate Office 5. Regular travel will be required PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 1. Law Degree from Indian University. 2. Professionally qualified to practice law. 3. 3-5 years post-qualification experience as a lawyer in a company or a law firm with experience in commercial law, cosmetic laws, contracts, exposure to employment /labour law.
