- Graduate in Law from a reputed institution
- Relevant experience in Banking or Financial Services Industry for around 3- 4 years at max.
- Understanding of supply chain finance product and other retail products and co-lending model is desirable and preferable.
- Good understanding of secured and unsecured loan products and should have worked on facility agreements, security and contractual comfort documents, co-lending documents and other ancillary documents.
- Understanding of drafting and negotiation of legal documents is essential.
- Previous work experience with Banks in lending divisions is desirable and preferable.
- Proficiency in legal research and ability to grasp complex areas of law, rapidly and accurately.
- Good knowledge of laws and guidelines relevant and applicable to the Banking or Financial Services Industry.
- Drafting, reviewing, vetting and negotiating documentation with banks under the co-lending model for loan products;
- Drafting, reviewing, vetting and negotiating, loan documentation such as facility agreements for unsecured or secured facilities, guarantees, demand promissory notes, non-disclosure agreements, constitutional documents, corporate authorizations, other ancillary documents;
- Understanding of the business requirement and structuring the documentation in legally compliant manner;
- Ensuring negotiating the documents are streamlined to provide legal and credit protection;
- Participating in the conferences/call with law firms/counsels/external consultants;
- Offering legal opinion on various legal issues and general corporate matters;
- Examining, researching and analyzing various case laws, regulatory circulars and guidelines in the financial industry;
- Monitoring statutory and regulatory updates having implications for the business of the organization and disseminate information within the organization;
- Vetting various corporate authorizations and constitutional documents for loan transactions.
