POSITION SUMMARY

This role is a staff position, based at Gurgaon, India in the New Ventures & Exploration business unit. The primary responsibility of the position would be to ensure that Land is made available to successfully execute the upcoming Exploratory campaign in our new 41 blocks (OALP) spanning across India. The position would provide support to ensure that business objectives are delivered in areas Land acquisition and its related framework and processes. This position is also responsible for working in tandem with the operational and technical teams to plan & initiate the Land acquisition processes and also work seamlessly with other external stakeholders to deliver the envisioned business objectives

Responsibilities:

- Set up Process & Procedures for Land procurement for undertaking Seismic Surveys, Exploration & Development activities

- Discuss with Project team/ Mgmt and create Plan and Schedule for all the necessary activities

- Liaison with District and State Administration with respect to Land matters

- Identify Land related Clearances and Approvals required for undertaking Oil & Gas activities in Block areas

- Build working relationships with DM/SDM/LAO/CA etc. for facilitating land procurement activities

- Ability to plan ahead and deal with villagers, communities and people representatives required for the procurement of Land

- Advise and recommend senior management on the prevailing socio-political landscape in areas of operations. Work closely with 3rd party consultants to develop the landscape

- Should be able to pursue LAQ related matters with State Govt. Offices and handle grievances

- Engage with Vendors and formulate plans for scaling up & identifying opportunities for outsourcing

Skills / Experience Required:

- Graduate/ Post Graduate with exposure to land related matters for at least 5-10 years and around 2-3 years experience in oil & gas industry.

- Fluent in written and spoken English and Hindi essential. Knowledge of additional vernacular language will be an asset

- Relationship builder with good coordination and liaison skills required

- Able to communicate on e-mails and knowledge of computer operations essential

- Having worked in multiple geographies in India, preferable North East, would be an added advantage

- Experience to work with a range of stakeholders, internal & external

- Excellent oral and written skills, comfortable presenting formally and informally to groups of people

Business Understanding Required:

- Understanding of prevalent Socio-Political Landscape

- Understanding of the functioning of the Bureaucracy

- Maintain high confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information in all aspects

- Ability to see the big picture as well as deal with the micro detail

- Candidate should have minimum 60% of all your academics
