Manager - Legal & Compliance - Healthcare (8-10 yrs)

Provide sound, efficient and effective legal services and advice to business functions in India, including:

- Reviewing, drafting, advising on and negotiating all forms of agreements;

- Ensuring the timely and effective provision of legal advice to internal clients on a wide range of legal issues (such as privacy, competition, intellectual property and employment law issues);

- Advising the business on any changes in laws and regulations and cooperating with the functional team to take necessary actions;


- Contribute to the development of country specific compliance policies and procedures and code of conduct; conduct compliance trainings and maintaining training records

- Conduct periodic reviews and tests to ensure all areas of the business are operating in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures, and work with regional Compliance team to implement remediation plans where necessary

Qualification & Desired Skills :

- Bachelor Degree or above in Law (essential);

- Having been admitted to Indian bar (essential);

- At least 6 years of experience gained in-house or in a reputable firm including 2 years of experienced gained within a compliance function (essential);

- Legal and/or Compliance experience in pharmaceuticals/medical device industry (desirable);

- Strong knowledge of Indian legal and compliance laws and regulations;

- Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and organizational skills;

- Thrive under enormous pressure and be able to handle multi-tasks and work independently;

- Ability to identity, assess and navigate legal and compliance risks;

- Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills;

- High level of integrity and honesty;
