Manager - Learning & Development - Project Management - Education (5-8 yrs)

Our client is a 200 year old global MNC which comprises of solutions business providing online program management services for higher education institutions, and learning, development, and assessment services for businesses and professionals. Their roots as a company are in fostering skills and they are helping employers to find and retain top talent through workplace learning solutions.

Job Role:

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing timely delivery and production of learning programs in analytics, finance, and technology. Being the single point of contact between SMEs, in-house product development teams and other stakeholders, the project manager will be responsible for building the project timelines, liaisoning with various stakeholders and driving the project for completion within the timelines and with the quality benchmarks identified at the onset, as well as identifying and recruiting various resources for the tech and finance products

Key Accountability:

- Develop, maintain and manage to a comprehensive project schedule(s)

- Identify and recruit vendors/trainers/SMEs for our technology and finance programs

- Develop and maintain project risk log(s), issues/actions/decisions log(s) and project reporting

- Work with Product and Business Owners to define project scope, budget (develop & document) goals and deliverables that support the strategic objectives of each program/project -

- Work with the program/project owner to define the project success criteria -

- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders

- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing and regular basis to maintain informal lines of communication

- Estimate the Strategic program/project resource levels (with stakeholder input) required to successfully achieve the project goals

- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team and between projects and when required, escalate issues to the steering committee for resolution

- Develop and deliver progress reports and presentations to business owners and executive sponsors on a regular basis

- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks and support contingency planning

- Coach, mentor, influence, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors to take action and to be accountable for assigned work

Qualifications and Experience:

- Knowledge of lifecycle of development of digital learning products and existing network in educational market for product developers and trainers

- Graduate (Business or Project Management degrees preferred)

- Approx 5 years of Project Management work experience focused on large projects in a client/vendor, consultative relationship setting

- PMP and/or Six Sigma certification preferred

- Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

- Demonstrated ability to successfully support the client in the delivery of complex business plans that detail strategic needs, project goals, budget estimates, resource requirements and ROI

- Highly proficient with MS Word, Excel and Project and proficient with MS Visio and PowerPoint

- Demonstrated ability to bring projects to successful completion while remaining sensitive to competing interests and reacting to project requirement adjustments promptly by communicating scope, schedule, budget changes to all affected parties

- Able to juggle multiple and/or conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills - confident communicating with senior management
