JOB DESCRIPTION - Manager - Last Mile Operations   Roles and Responsibilities  To Manage and Execute Entire last mile operation and coordinate with warehouse manager from all aspects to run effective warehouse operations.   Main Duties and Functions   - Knowledge of different types of Transportation routes and Network Designs specially in last mile deliveries  - Detail Knowledge of Transportation Budget & cost estimations  - Prepare & Implementation of transport Operations Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)  - Understanding & Defining of different types of transportation KPIs.  - Knowledge of MIS designing for different modules and customization of reports for BI.  - Tracking and evaluating Service partners KPIs along with measurable  - Escalations of deviations through proper matrix and take necessary preventive measures  - Validation and on time renewals of service provider's agreement based on the renewal cycle  - Timely deliveries of last mile shipments as per TAT and defining the 3PL TAT.  - Coordinate and control the last mile delivery partners regarding on time pick up & delivery against each invoiced order  - Close analysis and tracking of the lead time adherence for each order from Shipping to POD submission  - In transit loss control by effective management and process innovation  - Successful completion against each RMA & RTO transaction within agreed time frame   - Master data management of transportation against each shipment, like cost, delivery status, TAT adherence, Billing, Loss & damage in transit & any other deviations   - Effective vendor management and development skill to get best & Cost effective service available in the market  - On time report circulation. Close coordination with CS team & publish the actual status of the shipment at any point of time  - Root cause analysis against failed shipment and circulate the deviation report along with preventive measures  - Reconciliation of Month End Audits deviations found with the service partners & Follow up actions based on Findings  - Managing the Daily Operational related issues for avoiding the Business RISK  - Excellent Coordination and alignment with internal stakeholder (mainly Warehouse Operation Manager & Customer Service) & External Stakeholders.  - Prepare and circulate all MIS's on time as per management guidelines and processes  - Effective management skill to encounter day to day operational challenges  Experience Needed (Professional):   - 3-5 years of relevant work experience (a combo of Operation role of 1-2 years for an E-commerce/FMCG/Organized Retail company and 2-3 years of Solutions Designs Team for a 3PL company like DHL/Safe Express/Blue Dart etc.)  - Have Managed Transport operations actively especially last mile or end customer deliveries and also having dealt in service provider management & development  - Knowledge of route planning & distribution in last mile deliveries in E Commerce  - Good to have knowledge of warehousing operations   Desired Candidate Profile:  - Engineering background from a reputed Govt. college (REC- s) mandatory with preferable Operational MBA background from NITIE/SPJAIN Category.  - Strong in data crunching & Analytics  - Extremely proficient in MS Office (Specially in Advanced Excel, PPT, Macros)  - Excellent Presentation skills   - Self-Motivated and adaptable  Core Functional Competencies to be successful on the job:  - Extremely strong & comfortable in managing Teams & transport Service providers  - Ability to be an initiator and comfortable of working in a Lean organization without much support staff  Leadership Competencies:  - Demonstrate abilities in dealing with Senior Most Professionals of the Logistics Sector   - Ability to lead a team under pressure and deliver results.  - Ownership of process and ability to lead the team under new setup.
