Manager - Investment Banking (2-6 yrs)
KJMC is expanding its team and is looking to recruit a candidate to support its Investment Banking activities. This role is for a candidate with strong grounding in deal origination, execution (financial modeling, preparation of deal pitch documents etc.) and research.
The preferred candidate will be a domain expert with a minimum of 2 years of PE/VC investment banking experience. We are looking for a highly motivated team player with a problem solving attitude and a strong desire to grow with the firm.
Key responsibilities:
1. Primary responsibility of executing PE/VC Syndication deals across sectors in Investment Banking.
2. Preparation of documentation including Pitch books, Teaser, Information Memorandum, etc relating to a deal and developing detailed financial models and valuation scenarios for potential transactions and leading compiling research, developing models and valuation scenarios.
3. Coordinating and implementing due diligence, transaction documentation for potential transactions.
4. Follow developments in the PE/VC space to maintain an understanding of both current and anticipated trends across sectors/industry verticals, ability to mine data, simulate and do scenario planning, deep understanding of the industry benchmarks, comps, financial models and financial statements and scan market for investment opportunities.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- CA/ MBA from premier institute and 2+ years of relevant investment banking experience required, especially in Private Equity, Venture Capital and M&A.
- Expertise in financial modeling, financial analysis and accounting skills required and excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to express findings and opinions to senior management and team members.
- Able to manage multiple projects concurrently, meet deadlines and balance competing priorities.
- The candidate is expected to have transaction experience and should have worked end to end and closed at least 1 transaction in M&A/PE/VC.
- Knowledge of common terms & clauses in transaction documentation and expert in using databases such as Bloomberg, Thomson Research, etc.
- Knowledge of SEBI Regulations relating to IPOs, Open Offers, Buyback, Delisting etc. would be preferred and an added advantage.
