- Take responsibility for overseeing the planning, execution, and ensuring the timely delivery of assigned audits.
- Provide support in department-wide exercises such as annual audit planning, issue validation, risk assessment processes, handling regulatory requests, and training initiatives.
- Assist in the development of the GIA risk assessment and the formulation of an appropriate audit plan based on identified risks.
- Propose relevant audits for coverage during the audit cycle, leveraging your understanding of the business and associated risks.
- Carry out your audit responsibilities in strict adherence to the Audit Charter, maintaining independence from management and operating free from any undue interference.
- Assist in effectively managing the costs associated with assigned audits within the allocated budget for each audit engagement.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for enhancing efficiencies within the audit workflow and processes.
- Participate as an active team member in assigned audit work and may take on the role of team leader for specific audits.
- This may include leading more complex audits such as cross-functional and multi-location audits identified as high risk.
