The intent is to purpose-design and build an institution specifically targeted at developing leaders for the complex and fast-changing world of the 21st century. The academic group, which includes household names from the top universities world-wide, is developing an inter-disciplinary undergraduate experience and curriculum that over the coming decades will become the benchmark for college education globally.  - The project team is led at the executive-level by a third-generation entrepreneur, who has successfully built and exited a 2000-people company with offices across the world; and by the vice-chancellor, who is a renowned economist and academic administrator who has served as the Dean and President of a top-ranked liberal arts college in the US.  Reason for Hire:  - The University is looking for a dynamic individual to take on this newly created position of Manager, Institutional Advancement.   - The university has already established several relationships with corporates and foundations that are willing to support the university. Managing these relationships, and strengthening them to ensure that this process happens smoothly (money being received, donors being kept up to date on the use of funds) will be a key component of this role.   - Additionally, we expect that the candidate will initiate a few relationships with corporates and HNIs on their own, and with the support of the President and Vice Chancellor, convert these into donor relationships.  Roles and Responsibilities:  - Participate in the development of and help drive ambitious fundraising strategy for the University with support from the Board.  - Research and identify grant opportunities from public and private foundations, corporate, as well as individuals. Project manage the fundraising.  - Manage relationships with large corporates to ensure donors follow through on their commitments. Ensure that   - Manage and implement all fundraising activities e.g. scanning prospective donors, initiating and maintaining engagements with them to understand their priorities and present University's capabilities, compiling project proposals and progress reports, organising, participating and contributing to events.   - Prepare the presentation material for fundraising.   - Develop and nurture relationships to increase the base of support from current and potential donors. Steward current donors in order to maximize donor retention, engagement and investment.  - Develop value-added engagement and facilitate meaningful long-term engagement experiences for donors.  - Prepare forecasts, updates, and reports for major donors, the executive team, and the board in collaboration with the communications team.  - Work with finance team to formulate and communicate accurate revenue projections and develop an evolving fundraising strategy to meet revenue goals.  - Initiate and/or participate in sharing of knowledge, experience, and ideas with team members, donors and Board, so as to continuously improve on the fundraising strategy.  Note: The roles and responsibilities outlined above are not meant to be an exhaustive list of tasks.
