1) Establish a robust market intelligence system to capture, process and disseminate latest innovation updates in the industry, country and the globe 2) Create a weekly/monthly roundup of important news and happenings around identified core use cases and competition for senior leadership 3) Represent the org. at various industry events and forums to learn about new advances in insurtech and fintech ecosystems 4) Establish relationships with strategic partners like venture capital firms, startup promotion boards, innovation accelerators and the startup ecosystem as a whole etc. to develop a strong startup identification program 5) Establish strategic formal/informal partnerships to scout startups on identified, business relevant use cases 6) Define a structure to evaluate use cases and opportunities of partnership 7) Manage end to end business relationships with startups to successfully execute proof of concepts which can be scaled up further 8) Facilitate new or re-engineered product/ process/project development from ideation to design to launch, in collaboration with design and development leads, innovation experts and business users; 9) Understand and match customer needs with business needs to guide business teams toward the right product/process development 10) Gather knowledge and data and execute analyses necessary for project direction 11) Partner with business team on key projects via ideation & design thinking workshops and user research 12) Play a key role in complex cross-functional process management and project delivery to ensure that the Innovation team delivers business contribution to the organisation 13) Help ensure that Innovation is successful at delivering high impact results in a fast paced environment 14) Help manage cross functional project and team workstreams; help identify, prioritize, and execute on highest value add activities 15) Exercise influence to help broker startup capabilities with internal teams to deliver on business need 16) Effectively collaborate with, co-create with, and influence multiple stakeholders within the organisation with ability to persuade and drive decisions 17) Invest in building an inspired team 18) Invest in special initiatives and projects that help us scale and streamline the function (ops/systems) 19) Showcase the Innovation to the internal and external world through participation in awards, showcases and industry interactions Skills and Experience: 1) The Innovation role requires passion for transformation, an entrepreneurial spirit, design thinking ability, customer empathy and technical aptitude. 2) Passion for delivering high-impact projects in a fast-paced, evolving, ambiguous environment 3) Demonstrable Project experience working in startups or intrapreneurial experience is preferable 4) Experience and/or knowledge of design thinking principles and leading or facilitating workshops to cultivate design thinking innovation process. 5) Agile project management experience and familiarity with Scrum. 6) Ability to rapidly absorb and interpret technical information. Fluency with modern design and development principles. Should be able to translate business requirement into technical requirements with ease 7) Ability to manage and align a team of multiple stakeholders including expert practitioners, business teams, third-party vendors, and other collaborators 8) Exceptional interpersonal skills and emotional agility, able to interface across any level of management across the organisation 9) Full time MBA with minimum 3 years of experience across consulting with focus on identifying industry white space new product development, martech and customer research, design thinking and process re-engineering or a blend of each would be preferable 10) Experience in Insurance and BFSI is a plus
