Manager - HR Compliance - Manufacturing Firm (5-12 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Stay updated on all relevant labour laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labour laws, employment standards, and workplace safety regulations.

- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.

- Collaborate with department heads and managers to educate and train employees on labour compliance standards and practices.

- Monitor employee work hours, overtime, and leave entitlements to ensure compliance with labour laws.

- Review and update employee contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure legal compliance.

- Investigate and address employee complaints and grievances related to labour compliance issues.

- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to labour compliance activities, including employee records, training records, and incident reports.

- Coordinate with external legal counsel and government authorities when necessary.

- Prepare and submit reports on labour compliance activities to senior management as required.

- Participate in external audits and inspections by regulatory bodies, and assist in resolving any issues identified.

Qualifications and Skills :

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Proven experience working in labour compliance or a similar role, preferably in the logistics industry.

- In-depth knowledge of labour laws, regulations, and employment standards.

- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

- Proficient in using computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office.

- Looking for Manufacturing industry experience only.
