Manager - Group Consolidation

Responsible for combining the financial statements of a group of companies into a single set of consolidated financial statements. This includes preparing monthly and quarterly management packs, ensuring accuracy in consolidation processes, and working with external auditors. You also play a role in supporting the audit process and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparing monthly and quarterly management packs, consolidating financial statements of subsidiary companies, and preparing the group's consolidated accounts.

- Oversees the consolidated financial closings, special transactions, local currency and functional currency accounting processes.

- Ensuring accuracy in consolidation processes, adhering to accounting standards (like US GAPP, IFRS), and supporting the audit process.

- Responsible for ensuring that new accounting pronouncements are appropriately applied by the various entities within the company.

- Takes ownership of the Company's Group Consolidations and accounting process and policy manual.

- Responsible for evaluating the Company's foreign exchange exposure and implementing the necessary accounting procedures and controls.

- Handling intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and profit eliminations.

- Preparing financial analysis, explaining key movements and variances, and working with external auditors.

- Prepares financial reporting, including internal and externals statements.

- Participates in the development of software applications/processes implemented for both the business and accounting functions.

- Identifying and implementing process improvements for consolidation and reporting.

- Communicating and coordinating with local finance teams at consolidated subsidiaries.

- Researches and discusses complex accounting and reporting issues related to significant Company transactions and financial reporting process, as well as prepares memoranda related to complex issues as needed.

- Clear understanding of differences between US GAAP, and IFRS is required. Uses critical thinking to identify appropriate accounting treatment and collaborates with business leaders to ensure favourable accounting treatment where necessary.

Qualification And Experience:

1. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA with 2-4 Years of experience and Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, particularly related to consolidation, US GAPP and IFRS.

2. Relevant experience in group consolidation accounting, ideally within a global multinational organization.

3. Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and explain variances.

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams.

5. Accuracy and thoroughness in preparing and reviewing financial statements.

6. Ability to resolve issues related to intercompany transactions and other consolidation matters.

7. Proficiency in consolidation software and financial reporting systems.
