Manager - Government Relations - FMCG - IIM/ISB/FMS/MDI (7-18 yrs)
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for liaising with key external stakeholders for influencing policy-making and other business environment matters at State and Central (where necessary) level to ensure the protection of the Company's interests vis-a-vis ongoing legislation and support continued growth of business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liaise closely with all Region Heads and sales team.
- Develop and maintain strategic & influential relationships with important government departments including State Excise & Taxation and the media at zone / local levels.
- Manages local issues, follow up and submit timely documents required. Appropriately supervises for submission/ communication to the regulatory bodies.
- Lobby for suitable excise policies in the states and manage Route to Market dynamics with state excise for PRI.
- Monitor and review political, social and economic trends and analyses the impact on company objectives and plans.
- Ensures interpretation of laws and policies are fair to PR vis-a-vis competition.
- Manages and develops timely & productive solutions for critical company and product related crisis.
- Ensures proper escalation channel is available in case of any delay in clearances from regulatory bodies
- Review and summarize miscellaneous reports and documents concerning government policies and notifications with a view to analyses effect on company operations and prepare and report actionable to region head.
- Anticipate, analyze and help mitigate issues that will affect the company's reputation and performance.
- Liaison with various organizations / channels (within industry & outside) to manage company image & growth.
- Implement the strategy of PRI S&R (Sustainability & Responsibility) for the zone in conjunction with the national vision of PRI on S&R

- Government & Regulatory authorities at national, regional & local levels
- Various social bodies (from S&R perspective)
- Create and maintain relations with high net worth individuals & stakeholders / opinion leaders who are either consumers/ potential consumers / influencers.
- Maintain healthy relationship with the Trade Partners
PROFILE DETAILS
QUALIFICATION:
- Post-graduate with 7-12 years of experience in the Alco Bev/FMCG/Pharma industry - senior responsibility in Sales operations of region with substantial experience in dealing with Government/ Corporations.
- MBA from Premier institute
EXPERIENCE
- Proven track record of Should have ability to represent company in policy making bodies of the Central/ State government & regulatory bodies
- Ability to effectively guide/motivate the business (field) teams
- Analytical ability: analyze market & competition data & key influencers; Ability to work around with Rates etc
- Ability to liaise at all levels internally and externally
- Good administrative skills and communication skills
