Manager - Fulfilment Centre - B2B AgriTech Platform (7-10 yrs)

Our client is India's first supply chain network of ugly yet fresh and fit-for-consumption fruits and vegetables. It buys the produce from farmers and sells them directly to commercial kitchens thereby bridging the gap between buyers and sellers.

Founded in 2019, this Y-Combinator backed agri-tech company already has more than 500 customers across Bangalore and has raised ~$1.5 million till date, with plans for a nationwide rollout. Some of its clients include IIM Bangalore, Subway, Freshmenu, Toscano, Chianti, among others.

It is successfully curbing food waste, increasing farmer incomes and giving access to healthy, affordable produce to one and all.

As a Fulfilment Centre Manager, you will be leading the operations in delivering exceptional service and efficiency within the fulfilment centre.

What you will do:

- Leading and overseeing day-to-day operations of the fulfilment centre, ensuring seamless execution of order processing, inventory management, and timely product delivery

- Effectively managing and leading a team of fulfilment centre staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment

- Implementing and refining efficient operational processes to maximize productivity, minimize errors, and enhance overall fulfilment centre performance

- Monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory levels of fresh produce, ensuring timely replenishment and minimizing wastage

- Ensuring strict adherence to quality standards and safety protocols throughout the fulfilment process, guaranteeing that only the highest quality products are delivered to our customers

- Leveraging your background in fresh produce to ensure proper handling, storage, and packaging of perishable goods, maintaining product freshness and integrity

- Collaborating with transportation and logistics teams to ensure on-time and accurate delivery of orders to customers

- Generating and analysing performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency

- Assisting in budget planning and cost control measures to optimize resource allocation and drive profitability

- Ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations, health and safety standards, and legal requirements

- Maintaining a customer-centric approach, working to exceed customer expectations and resolve any fulfilment-related issues promptly

What you need to have:

- 7+ years of experience in managing warehouses/ stores in a startup handling blue-collar teams

- Technical know-how, and experience in digital workflow is mandatory,

- Proven experience in warehouse or store management, preferably within the logistics, e-commerce, or retail industry

- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, motivating staff towards shared goals and objectives

- Strong process-oriented mindset with a track record of implementing and improving operational workflows

- Prior experience with handling fresh produce and added advantage, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of its unique storage and handling requirements

- Uphold the highest level of integrity and ethical standards in all interactions and decisions

- Effective verbal and written communication skills to liaise with team members, stakeholders, and customers

- Proficient in data analysis, with the ability to use insights to drive operational improvements.

- Should be Open for 6 days working and rotational shifts
