- Initial assignment is for the candidate to work with the project team as a function expert to produce analysis reports for existing ABS, Private deals and corporates. The work involved would be
- Providing support (with help of junior functional resource ) to wider Project which aims to create system that can assimilate both structure and unstructured data from various sources ( external internal) using AI based intelligent systems
- Responsible for interaction with external clients of various private deals to ensure information is available to produce credit analyst report
- Design and develop the analyst reports required to provide insights to fund managers. ( Start with existing deals and going forward for future investment opportunities.
- Develop reports to compare the performance of investment across various fixed income asset types.
- Additionally, the individual would work in team extension model with London based credit analyst team. Hence, they would be involved in various work like:
- Analysis of asset backed securities and other securitised products, with experience across the following sectors: RMBS, Auto, Credit Card, Consumer Loan, CLO, CMBS etc. Other experience (e.g. in private pooled asset classes) would also be a positive.
- Perform credit monitoring of existing investments and relevant industry exposures.
- Maintain updated cashflows and analytics for existing investments.
- Understanding of underwriting guidelines, cash flow modelling, deal terms and third party information
- Review transaction documents to understand key attributes related to payment waterfall, reserve accounts, asset dispositions, performance triggers, and rights and authorities of key parties.
- Develop comprehensive understanding of models for risk and exposure reporting. Execute, maintain, and enhance those models
- The ideal candidate would have some experience of supervising or managing other team members but this is not essential
Key Skills:
- Undertake numerical analysis and manipulation using a range of systems
- Strong financial modelling skills. Understanding of credit considerations and ability to evaluate financial statements.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel and financial modelling skills. Proficiency with standard finance applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collaborate in team setting and work independently
- Developing valuation models for various financial instruments and running it for various market scenarios

- Delivery of high quality agreed tasks to the stakeholder in a time bound fashion
- Respond to straightforward technical queries
- Prepare and document simple computer programmes and models to clearly defined requirements
- Provide support and guidance to more junior members of the team in a range of project work as and when required

Mandatory:
- Research experience within traditional asset backed securities sectors
- CFA designation preferred or equivalent educational background.
- Strong financial modelling skills. Understanding of credit considerations and ability to evaluate financial statements.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel and financial modelling skills. Proficiency with standard finance applications with a strong preference for Intex experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collaborate in team setting and work independently.
