Manager - Financial Risk & Regulations - Insurance Sector - Big4 (5-9 yrs)

- It is a team that includes subject matter experts with deep industry experience and from varied backgrounds including banking, risk management, treasury, rating analyst, information technology, and consulting. This enables them to address a variety of client issues.

- They advise insurers on emerging risk management and regulatory changes, help them design and implement enterprise risk management frameworks, and measure and manage risk and capital against a range of regulatory, internal, and external requirements, including ORSA, risk-based capital, economic capital, Solvency II, and rating agency capital.

- They also advise insurers address new financial reporting requirements by assessing the financial and business impacts of regulations, building implementation plans, and implementing relevant requirements, particularly across areas of financial reporting change (e.g., insurance contracts and principles-based reserving).

IFRS current and proposed IFRS 17[Assumptions, methodology, controls and results] review. Assist client with understanding and implementing the new regulations e.g. IFRS 17, etc.

Role and Responsibilities

- Work with the team to design solutions to the clients problems using the subject matter expertise

- Project execution and ensuring project profitability, quality as well as adherence to the agreed project plan

- Providing input with respect to practice development initiatives and investments

- Developing and maintaining client relationships

- Supervising, leading, and training junior associates

- Being involved in Business Development - lead generation till closure

Required Skills

Member of Institute of Actuaries (UK) and/or Institute of Actuaries of India and must of passed at least 12 actuarial exams from either of these institutes.

Prior Experience

- 5-8 years of life actuarial experience with knowledge in reporting - reserving, embedded value, business planning, pricing etc. Understanding of IFRS 17 preferred.


- Knowledge of stochastic modelling and proxy modelling is a plus.
