Job | Urgent Hiring for Manager - FP&A Reporting - EMEA - British MNC, Bangalore

Our client a British MNC, is one of the leading companies in the Media & communication sector. This MNC operates a Global Finance team based out of Bangalore.

This team under the leadership of the Global Finance Controller undertakes the Financial reporting, planning and analysis of the whole group spread across 80 countries.

Manager - FP&A Reporting (EMEA)

Role Purpose :

The candidate will lead the EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) Regional Reporting work stream based out of Bangalore & will be required to work closely with the Senior Manager (Reporting) and Director of Financial Control (EMEA) on the following broad areas:

- Manage & drive the EMEA Reporting team from Bangalore.

- Work with the top management on Strategic planning & decision-making and arrive at a road map (short term & long term) for the EMEA work stream.

- Establish an ideal governance model by holding periodic status update calls with stakeholders & RCoE management.

- Develop & maintain effective partnership with EMEA markets & clusters.

- Lead Continuous improvement Initiatives (CII) by identifying process lapses, offering best possible solution and implementing the same.

- Controller ship & Automation Projects (as & when identified).

Key Accountabilities :

Business As Usual (BAU) Tasks & Responsibilities :

- Manage EMEA monthly/forecast/budget regional management reporting in SAP BPC (consolidation tool) as per the scheduled calendar.

- Ensure timely & error-free delivery of regular tasks & deliverables including the CEO Deck & CFO Presentation.

- Work with EMEA markets to encourage timely & error-free submissions, provide assistance when required, challenge markets on numbers.

- Perform deep-dive analysis & provide insights by way of commentaries to Regional CFO/Cluster CFOs.

- Monitor markets on appropriate use of account lines, brands, segments, classification of exceptional etc.

- Participate in the Finance Controller Community (FCC) workshop calls and resolve market queries & issues, provide insightful updates to the discussion.

- Participate in Cluster calls, challenge markets and document inferences & summaries from the calls.

- Manage various Group Finance deliverables on Half Year and Annual Statutory IFRS reporting and disclosures on Deferred Consideration, Associates, Leases, Pensions, Capital commitments, Tax schedules and such other areas.

- Help markets achieve Accelerated Reporting deadlines.

- Review in-market existing processes, perform value stream analysis and provide suggestions for improvement in order to accelerate submission delays, accuracy and compliance-related issues.

- Ensure smooth transition to BPC v10 from the current BPC v7.5 version.

Stakeholder Management :

- Manage stakeholder expectations effectively by understanding & delivering tasks & projects within deadlines.

- Serve as a SPOC for escalations; identified as a - go to- person for the team members and stakeholders.

- Hold periodic work stream calls to update progress on weekly tasks and key deliverables & projects.

- Improve working relationship with clusters & ensure effective communication line is maintained.

- Support CFOs with various Analysis, Presentations and Commentaries during Budget and Forecast processes.

Team Management :

- Chalk out overall team & individual objectives with EMEA Director & RCoE Top Management and manage the team appraisal process.

- Plan & allocate resources to tasks, chart out team utilization by month, manage workday calendar, conduct regular team meetings for latest updates, share learnings, braining-storming sessions.

- Chalk a plan for issue resolution with approximate time & skill estimate, cost-benefit analysis & to benchmark against estimates.

- Identify individual training requirements & work with RCoE management for these training sessions.

- Effectively manage escalations, develop back-up plan and focus on cross-training the team.

Professional skills & Qualifications :

- Chartered Accountant with minimum of 6-10 years of experience in Finance, Reporting, Consolidation or Audit (besides Articleship). 3-4 years of relevant experience is a must.

- In-depth knowledge of Accounting controls & reporting processes is necessary.

Knowledge & Skills :

- Good Leadership & Management skills to engage and receive appropriate support from various teams.

- Effective communicator deal diplomatically with all internal clients at all levels. Have high Service Levels by being responsive, sensitive towards market issues.

- Good Analytical and Problem-solving abilities.

- Strong and proven Decision-making qualities.

- Goal oriented and focuses on achieving targeted results in the most efficient manner.

- Recognizes that financial performance is driven by commercial/business factors; have good acumen in determining such Key business indicators & its effect on target performance.

- Demonstrated success in Project Management and highly organized.

- Exposure to different improvement frameworks, such as Six Sigma and Lean. Experience in understanding process controls and identifying process lapses.

- Team Handling Experience is a MUST.
