Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis


JOB OVERVIEW : This position is responsible for accurate accounting and strong financial analysis. Will be responsible for the budgeting and forecasting; helping the commercial team with the data analytics; compliance; MIS reports preparation; variance analysis.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

- Ensure reporting compliance with all group deadlines on a weekly, monthly and annual basis. As part of this process ; develop, analyze and interpret statistical and accounting information, and appraise profitability and performance against budget. At all times ensure that the team maintains a high standard of reporting in line with group policies and procedures.

- Finalize Trial balance and statutory P&L, balance sheet, cash flow for monthly reporting.

- Responsible for monthly forecasting and annual budgets along with variance analysis to support the functional leaders.

- Maintain detailed financial planning models (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet & Cash flow) to provide an updated monthly forecast and budget view based on actual results achieved and the view of the business moving forward.

- Review the existing Forecast & Budget process and develop a more effective financial planning tool to allow more efficient update of changes.

- Key coordinator of the annual budgeting / monthly forecast process ensuring all information is received by the due date and all queries are addressed in a timely manner.

- Ensure budget / monthly forecast is correctly uploaded in HFM and all movements from actual are supported.

- Review and management of the corporate tax process ensuring internal and external reporting requirements are met

- Provide necessary training to team members in areas of HFM and other reporting tools.

- Ensure all GL accounts are maintained in line with global standards and that they are correctly mapped for loading into the reporting system.

- Ensure completion of internal audits along with external auditors and closure of all agreed action plans.

Relationships:

- Includes intensive communication with corporate accounting, tax, treasury and compliance functions

- Position has high visibility with a large amount of exposure to the Asia Finance Director and India management team

Key Competencies:

- Proven experiences and results in developing processes which provide excellent Internal Controls.

- Excellent knowledge and practical understanding of applicable India accounting policy, tax regulation, and US GAAP.

- Independent and strong sense of integrity.

- Proficiency in analysis of financial results to identify variations and trends that indicate possible exposures and the need for countermeasures.

- Working capital analysis and management.

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Excellent PC skills, preferably experienced in Oracle as ERP system and Hyperion as Financial Reporting Tool.

- Should be able to demonstrate leadership and have experience of managing a team, should be confident, a self- starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment.

- Must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgment showing logical decision making, and a hands-on approach.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Managed an Accounting organization of a subsidiary of multinational company. Experience reviewing, consolidating and reporting the financial results.

2. Proven experience in providing rigorous financial analysis to the management team for decision making

3. Proven ability to understand and improve the internal controls for increased safeguarding of company assets

4. Should have 7 ~8 years of Accounting experience and minimum 5 years at Finance/Accounting Manager level

5. Demonstrated experiences and results in providing leadership to improve processes and in optimizing working capital

6. Use of financial reporting tools such as Hyperion, Oracle and Microsoft Excel to improve productivity in providing timely and accurate financial statements.

Education & Credentials:

- Financial accounting degree ; college or university level

- Chartered Accountant

- CPA certification or similar

- CS; Preferred
