Manager - Financial Crime Model Validation - Governance & Oversight Team

- The role is part of Fin Crime Model Validation function in the Governance & Oversight team within the Fin Crime Portfolio (FCP), which is responsible for validation of Financial Crime (FC) models, viz. Transaction Monitoring, Correspondent Banking, Trade Based Money Laundering.

- This individual will be a Financial Crime SME who will complete the validation of existing and newly developed FC models, working as an interface between Model Validation, and the areas responsible for building and using these models.

- Responsibilities include the end-to-end execution of multiple validation reviews, engagement with stakeholders and ongoing feedback during validation process as well as development of model validation methodologies, validation tools based on R/Python, production of analysis and reports to support model validation process.

Skills, knowledge & experience (max 6):

- AML expertise that includes experience in the field of money laundering, detection of suspicious activity or terrorism financing, with a background in regulatory finance, financial auditing or analysis, or financial investigation

- Candidates are expected to demonstrate a good grasp of key compliance technology tools including NetReveal, the Group AML Solution

- Proficient in analytics, developing, maintaining or validating statistical models of AML surveillance systems within banking industry

- Ability to communicate and interact on a regular basis with stakeholders across all levels and to write reports that are well- structured, clear and concise.

- Knowledge of SAS, R, Excel VBA or other data management software

- Self-motivation, proactiveness and ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members across geographies/departments.
