Job purpose:

Our Client is a globally-integrated professional services organization that provides Assurance, Advisory, Tax and Transaction Services. The Assurance team at client's GTH is looking for a Manager to build and grow our Financial Accounting and Advisory Services (FAAS) team. The manager will be responsible for working closely with FAAS Partners, Senior Managers and Managers on client engagements across Americas and EMEIA. In addition to managing service delivery, the individual will provide technical support, grow the GTH portfolio and coach GTH Assistant managers/seniors.

The Manager should have extensive experience in Financial Accounting Advisory Services. She/he is also expected to display a high level of technical knowledge in US GAAP and/or IFRS. While the manager will be based out of our Gurgaon or Bangalore office, she/he will be required to travel to other countries (short to medium term) for executing on client engagements.

Your client responsibilities:

- Lead client service teams to execute following FAAS solutions

- Financial Accounting and Reporting Excellence

- Accounting Processes

- Regulation, Governance and Financing

- Audit remediation and readiness

- Organizing and providing technical training

- Addressing service delivery quality issues if and when they occur

Manage and develop people

- Lead a team of Assistant Managers and Seniors and make sure the team delivers high quality work, per our client's Global methodology, on time and to budget

- Conduct FAAS team performance reviews, serve as a positive leader and mentor, and contribute to the team performance

- Identify development opportunities and training needs for high performing AM/Seniors

Manage business and clients

- Actively support the Americas or EMEIA FAAS leadership both in terms of growth as well as quality initiatives

- Enhance relationships with global teams and leverage connections to identify opportunities for work at the GTH

Technical skills requirements:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA (US) or ACCA (UK)

- 7-10 years (post qualification) in auditing or finance controllership roles including at least 2 years of Financial Accounting and Advisory experience

- Expert Knowledge of IFRS/US/UK GAAP and International auditing standards.

- Knowledge of Indian accounting and auditing standards.

- Extensive working experience in relation to the following services/solutions:

- GAAP conversions and implementation of new accounting standards

- Drafting and designing accounting policies

- Technical accounting research and advice

- Consolidation and Compilation support

- Financial statement close process support

- Transaction accounting and reporting - IPO- s, Carve Outs, PPA etc

- Audit remediation and readiness

- Benchmarking services and market analysis
