Manager - Finance - Trading Firm (5-12 yrs)
Our client is having a diversified business in Africa and Hongkong.
Job Description:-
1. Maintenance of Books of Accounts for International Trade based out of Hong Kong and oversee a fellow subsidiary in the UK as per IFRS.
2. Responsible for Monitoring Credit Control and Collections as part of Risk mitigation and Working Capital Management.
3. Active Interaction/Coordination with Back-office Services for ensuring timely completion of bookkeeping activities, MIS generation, Supply chain aspects, Logistics, etc.
4. Active engagement with Bankers and internal customers to ensure availability of adequate structure & credit lines to support the Business requirements.
5. Managing the Bank Relationships for Routine Trade-related activities/documentation.
6. Oversight of the HK shipping team & working closely with Shared Services to ensure performance metrics are met; Responsible for freight procurement.
7. Comply with all local statutory requirements on a timely and accurate basis.
8. Responsible for Revenue assurance of the business.
9. Engage with Group Internal audit team to ensure Risks associated with the businesses are assessed in a timely manner and identify the potential gaps which need to be plugged.
10. Responsible for handling the Statutory audits with the Auditors for both HK and UK, Tax audits if any conducted by IRD.
11. Cost Control covering all aspects of the business.
12. Use SAP as a platform to aid the business and ensure fully automated reports from the system
13. Provide support for all Commercial, legal aspects of the business.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar environment/ work profile
- Exposure to International Trade and African business environment is an added benefit
