Producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial research and subsequently provide advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans, business decisions in the long and short term to meet the company's objectives. Job Responsibilities: - Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions. - Oversee financial department employees, including financial assistance and accountants. - Contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary. - Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement. - Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company. - Research and analyze financial reports and market trends. - Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making. - Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports. - Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients informal meetings. - Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes. - Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company. - Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation. What qualities are we looking for? - Proven experience as a Financial Manager. - Experience in the financial/aviation sector with previous possible roles such as a financial analyst. - Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns. Superior attention to detail. - Proficient user of finance software. - Strong interpersonal, excellent communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills. - Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used. - A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles. - Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations. - Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics. - Qualified CA with minimum 10 years of experience is a must. - Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus.
