Job Title Job Title : Finance Manager - Accounting & Controlling Department: Finance Reporting : Director-Finance & CFO, CTC - 55LPA POSITION SUMMARY: The Finance Manager is responsible for the accounting-controlling and audit function of the firm, reporting to the Director-Finance and CFO of the Company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Accounting and auditing - The incumbent will be in charge of the accounting and audit function of the Finance Department. - Should have complete command over accounting policies, practice and standards - both Indian and US/International GAAP. - Will lead and be responsible for all financial and compliance audits and should be hands on audit matters and processes. - Will be responsible for control and compliance framework of the Organisation and effective approval-cum-authorization and control checks, both physical and systems. 2. The candidate will be responsible for end to end accounting function and this includes: - Format No. PI/HRD/11, Rev:00 - Oversee the accounting requirements across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payables, Accruals and Expense Claims, Inter Company, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Tax related and other general ledger related while ensuring that the accounting and records are accurate, in- compliance and error free. - Closing the books of accounts for month-quarter and year end and reporting the same. - Error-free and timely sign off of balance sheet reconciliation. - Flag risks if any and work with the team to find counter measures. - Handling all compliance and reporting requirements for quarter and year end. - Ensuring adherence to applicable polices, processes and approval matrix while doing the above. 3. Work closely and oversee as required the below functions: - AR - Credit appraisals and monitoring collections and achieving DSO targets - AP - Oversee advances and payments and adhering to the DPO requirements - Process capex and investment requests while ensuring same are in line with Budget - Monitor expense/spend investments vis- vis budgets. - Accounting for taxes. - Insurance 4. Responsible for ensuring that the financials and other data reported to Altra Corporate are accurate and incompliance with USGAAP principles 5. In-charge of the annual closing of books, that is, Indian statutory audit as well as Group directed Dec close and related compliances and submissions to RBI / under FEMA. - Lead audits and implement corrective actions in a time-bound manner. These include: o India statutory audit a) India required internal audit b) Group audit and those related to c) Balance Sheet reviews d) SOX, anti-corruption. internal and other Group directed audits. 6. Responsible for management reporting of - Weeklies, monthly, actuals and forecasts - Quarterly and annual reports to Corporate 7. Ensure monitoring of KPIs and engage with cross functional teams to get them necessary information to achieve their KPIs and the Company goals. 8. Partnering with cross Department Heads and teams to be able to discharge role, responsibility and achieve results. 9. Is responsible for managing treasury activities including monitoring liquidity , cash flow and fx conversions. Will be also responsible for annual insurance renewals and achieving coverage-cost targets in insurance. 10. Should be hands on ERP and reporting systems and able to guide the team towards using these effectively. FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES: 1. Strong accounting and audit fundamentals - exposure to both Indian GAAAP and International/USGAAP and handled audits independently 2. Additional qualification and work experience in Costing will be given preference Format No. PI/HRD/11, Rev:00 3. Sound knowledge of controls and compliance 4. ERP (Oracle preferred) and Hyperion-Tagetik reporting systems, excellent comment over MS Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 1. Chartered Accountant with 8 to 10 years of post-qualification experience. 2. Exposure to manufacturing work environment is a must. 3. Prior experience in Indian/foreign MNCs will be advantageous KEY RELATIONSHIPS - Internal: President, MD, Head of Departments, Global Functions, Cross Function, CFO, Legal-CS, Tax, Finance Team, - External: Auditors, Bankers, Consultants, Service Providers, Insurance Brokers, others. PERSONAL TRAIT/PROFILE: 1. Ability to communicate, mentor and collaborate with Senior Leadership, Cross functional teams and Global interfaces. 2. Have a strong technical knowledge, should keep updated with developments and an ever learning attitude. 3. Strong analytical skills with detail orientation, result orientation approach and should be assertive, as required. 4. Process oriented and ability to drive and sustain improvements by use of business management tools like Kaizens, SW, TPI and Daily Management. Should possess an attitude of problem solving. 5. Possess excellent oral and written communications. 6. Ability to work independently as well as in functional / cross - functional teams. 7. Should be able to engage with, develop and mentor one's finance teams develop, mentor while retaining the ability to be hands on, as required.
