Manager - Export & Import - FMCG (5-12 yrs)
Job Position : Export Import Manager
Location : Pune - Factory
Industry : FMCG - World's leaders in Chocolates
Years of experience : 5-12 yrs ONLY
Industry Preference : Industry could be FMCG, Food & Beverages, Agriculture, Pharma, Preferably from food
Knowledge & Experience :
- 5 years + Experience
- Should have managed Import/Export for a food company for atleast 2 years
- Experience in developing and working through 3rd Party Logistics Service Providers
- Knowledge of EXIM Laws/Regulations
Education & Professional Qualification :
- Graduate in any discipline-
- Diploma/PG Diploma/MBA in International Business /Foreign Trade-
- PG Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics (preferred)-
Responsibilities :
- This role is accountable for all Import and Export operations. The role covers finished goods, Raw materials, Plant& Machinery and Ensure efficiency in the Company's Imports/Exports Logistics System. The role is 50% strategic & 50% operational in nature.
- Ensure on time clearance of import/export shipments including Finished products, Bulk, Raws and packs.
- Setting up the Import process/system internally and driving accountability with the 3P Service providers
- Drive efficiency in the entire custom clearance process to deliver cost savings and ensure spend is within budgeted amount.
- Liaison with Customs, FSSAI, SRA and Taxation departments for 100% compliance and to avail the benefits applicable for our industry
Vendor Management :
- Driving Accountability with 3P Service Providers - Clearing Agents/Shipping lines/Transporters
- Developing KPIs/Performance Dashboards - SLAs& Contract Management
- Process Management
- Setting up internal processes/Systems for a seamless import & export - Structured Approach
- Tracking of incoming shipments/Payments& Providing visibility to Stakeholders
- Driving Efficiency/Savings
- To manage the EXIM logistics budget, forecasting and corrective action on budget and spend.
- Industry benchmarking and explore innovative methods to synergize and save costs
- Responsible for finding faster shipping routes and lower cost carriers as well as developing contingency plans to facilitate an expedited shipment
Coordination & Stakeholder Management :
- Overall Co-ordination between Warehouse, Accounts and Supply Planning Team on shipments
- Ocean and Air Freight Management for imports and exports
- Build good and healthy working relationships with Government agency representatives
Research & Documentation :
- Keep up with ever changing Government Policies and Tariffs on Importation of Goods
- Need to ensure Import/Export administration regulations are followed to avoid shipment delays and costly penalties
- Filing and keeping records of all imports/Export documents, Bill process and payment
