Position : Equity Research - Manager

Shift Timing - In between 2.30 PM to 12.30 AM

Location : Bangalore

Role description:

- The roles involves working with an industry-leading Corporate and Investment Bank in the equity research team.

- The role involves working closely with the US senior research analyst on research and analysis for the sector.

- The roles involves significant opportunities to learn, develop and work as an integral member of the front Office teams in business.

- Support lead analyst in thematic and cross sector research

- Gathering and analyzing large data sets from a variety of sources including company reports and online databases for conversion to crisp research reports, generating one off and regular reports, graphs and data sets for these reports using our formats and models, writing content and creating industry reports for internal and external consumption including an institutional audience

- Building & operating complex financial models for company valuation purposes

- Work independently on complex projects and deliver high quality projects

- Effectively communicate with key stakeholders in the US

Academics Qualifications and experience:

- MBA / Masters in Finance from a premier educational institution/ CA

- Relevant prior 5 to 10 years of experience

- Strong knowledge of accounting and financial concepts

- Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office Applications - Power Point and Excel

- Competence pulling data with Bloomberg formulas, updating valuation files

- Competence with large data sets in excel; finding/sorting/reformatting data/pivot tables/build macros,o without making errors

- Ability to read through OFS and E&P EPS reports, investor presentations, and transcripts and identify

- key information (with our guidance)

- Ability to create tables with both quantitative and qualitative data

- Sufficient proficiency in English and to be able to scan news releases for potentially meaningful data

- Proficiency in financial concepts, understanding of financial and valuation ratios

- Can write quarterly EPS outlook notes and write some of our individual company sections in our quarterly previews 10q and k updates

- Proficient in Python, SQL, R

- Excel VBA programming.
