Manager - Employee Relations & Industrial Relations - Chemicals/Pharma/Manufacturing (12-20 yrs)

Objective of role:

- To define and chart Industrial Relations agenda for the company and its factories and sales offices across locations.

- Work with Factory HR & Factory Managers to facilitate & promote proactive IR environment in all the factories.

- To anchor and ensure labor Law compliance as per laws of the land including periodic review across locations covering all factories and sales offices.

- To guide Factory HR team to articulate worker engagement programs across factories in conjunction with other HR functions

Key responsibilities:

- Industrial Relations - Work with Factory HR & Factory Managers, extend necessary guidance for maintaining positive relationship with workers to promote pro-active IR Environment, maintain Discipline, to establish discipline procedure, monitoring Discipline, Counselling of workmen on indiscipline matters, Implement disciplinary action.

- Facilitate Wage Negotiation Process.

- Monitor payment of wages to Contract Workers.

- Monitor IR in the manufacturing sites to avoid any potential industrial conflicts

- Compliance under Labour Legislation - Renewal of Licenses / obtaining necessary approval / consent from the concerned authorities, ensuring submission of statutory returns in time, maintenance of necessary registers and records.

- Extend necessary help / guidance to Labour Contractors proactively to ensure proper compliance under Contract Labour Act and other applicable Labour Legislations Liaise with statutory authorities such as Inspector of Factories, labor officials on representing issues connected with the manufacturing plants and necessary compliances for Sales Offices under shops and establishment act.

- Coordinate with the legal adviser on any pending court cases, monitor their progress and prepare periodic legal updates on the cases for management reporting.

- Conduct periodic review of compliance at Factories & Sales offices.
