Manager - Employee Relation - Manufacturing/Distribution Firm (10-16 yrs)

Job summary

Employee Relations Manager is responsible for building and sustaining positive, engaged work environments for associates and leaders, reducing risk to the business by creating and executing programs to develop the next generation of high-performing, associate-centric frontline leaders.Should have passion to improve our leaders' skill sets in associate engagement across the organization.

Key job responsibilities :

- Subject Matter Expertise: Utilize employee relations expertise to identify issues, predict and mitigate risk, develop and execute ER strategies and ER programs for the business.

- Project Management: Independently own large scale, network-wide projects for the ER team that improve the associate experience at the network level. Lead and drive teams to deliver results

- Deliver Innovative Solutions: Challenge current practices and think outside the box to generate creative ways to scale ER and HR programs and develop innovative ER solutions that meet timelines and deliverables, raise the bar and exceed the customer expectations.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build collaborative, influential internal and external relationships with Operations and HR leaders and other critical stakeholders to gather information, feedback and earn support and necessary resources to develop and execute ER strategies and programs.

Employee Relations & Engagement:

- Employee engagement is at the heart of everything we do. Demonstrate 0wnership for ensuring that fair, consistent and transparent employee relations processes are applied at the sites, making them a great place to work.

- Driving Associate Centric Leadership Practices and Continuous Engagement Practices at scale across the network

- Lead and partner projects to develop and implement employment policies

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :

1) Post Graduate with min 10-15 years of relevant experience in managing labour law compliance for multiple states

2) In-depth understanding of employment law and employee relations legislation across States and at National level

3) Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results

4) Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative

5) Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

- Experience in manufacturing/distribution/call centre environment

- Experience working in unionized settings a significant plus

- Experience in collaborating and working with large teams

- Strong evidence of stretch assignments that are evidence of superior performance in previous roles.
